As Princess Dragon Mom (Terry Liu) & her evil mutants - creatures
from before the ice age who have been hibernating since beneath the
earth's surface - are about to take over the earth by causing some
natural desasters, professor Wang Hsia sees only one solution to this problem: He
has to turn one of his associates (Danny Lee) into cyborg-superhero
Infra Man, a creature of superhuman strength that can fly, grow at will,
shoot darts from his arms, & - should the occasion arise - shoot his
fists (Thunderfists) as well. With a hero like that, earth seems to be
in safe hands even though Princess Dragon Mom tries to defeat our hero
at every twist & turn, sending her mutant army towards him,
abducting the professor's daughter (Yuan Man-Tzu) & holding her
hostage, having clouds darken the sun (Infra Man runs on solar power you
see) & even throwing Infra Man into a hellhole (quite literally).
But exactly that hellhole finally gives Infra Man enough powqer to turn
the tables, free the profesor's daughter & the professor (who has
since been abducted as well) & defeat evil Princess Dragon Mom.
A silly plastic kiddies' sci-fi-superhero movie, obviously
inspired by the great many Japanese superhero-series that were
produced around the same time. It's full of so-so-special effects,
rubber-costumes, primary colours, stupid plotlines, crazy fake-martial
arts ... you just have to love it or hate it ! I loved it !
