Things haven't been easy for Ben (Gerald Webb) and his wife (Diahnna
Nicole Baxter) and chidlren (Aurora Perrineau, Melvin Gregg), especially
after he has been cheating on her and she has found out ... but all of
this is bound to change now they have moved into a new town where none of
them have any roots and they can start anew. Thing is, their new home is
quite a little haunted, and it of course plays its tricks first and
formostly on those with not exactly an innocent conscience ... Now
I'll freely admit, A House is Not a Home isn't breaking any new
ground in any way ... but as a ghost story, with all the limitations that
genre might hold, the movie works very well, its tension and suspense
scenes are placed just right, it makes perfect use of its limited
locations, the cast is up to the task, and one just can't deny the story's
really carrying the thing!
