It should be nothing but an ordinary day at the Fetish Factory, a
pop-up burlesque club where the girls (Carrie Keagan, Jennifer
Blanc-Biehn, Tristan Risk, Jenimay Walker, Emma Jacobs) do their stage
acts then go to private rooms with their lightly perverted customers to
perform private shows - nothing involving actual sex though, just
something to let the regulars let off some steam. But suddenly they find
the newbie of the show (Emma Jacobs) has disappeared out of their midst
without a trace and later turns up dead, for some reason their boss (Diane
Ayala Goldner) is killed by her usually loving husband (Tom Ayers) who now
tears her apart, and the girls have to come to the realization their club
is overrun by zombies, zombies that don't necessarily follow genre rules
and are thus extra hard to kill ... and with their "favourite"
customers as clueless as themselves, the girls are left to their own wits
- which might not take them far ... Fetish Factory will
very probably never be considered a classic of its genre - but that said,
it's a very likeable piece of comedic horror that light-footedly combines
sexy bits (though no actual nudity) with naughty jokes and nasty murders,
all carried by quirky characters played by an competent cast who all also
look their parts, and things are kept going at a steady pace. So yeah,
probably no classic - but mighty enjoyable still.
