It should have been a simple jewelry store heist, but in the heist of
the robbers, Killian (Ryan M. Shaw) got itchy fingers and shot a security
guard while another of the robbers, Geoff (LeJon Woods) got shot - and at
the rendez-vous point with their boss Trent (Louis Mandylor) and his
daughter Lisa (Katie Keene), the nerves of the group of robbers - Killian,
Geoff, Alex (Gary Daniels), Zarina (Zhuzha Akova) and Hayden (Chris Torem)
- are pretty raw, so much so that Trent disarms them all. And once the
group's calmed down a bit, it's drinks for everybody ... only the drinks
were drugged, and when Trent and company come to again, Alex, Lisa and the
loot are gone. Now Lisa's Alex's hostage, but she also uses him to get
away from her dad and sticks by him even when he sets her free. Of course,
Trent is quick to send Killian, Zarina and Hayden after the fugitives, and
they're quick to catch up. Of course, Alex has come prepared for that, and
has even found an unexpected ally in Lisa - but then again his opponents
are much better armed and equipped, and really not all that happy of
Alex's betrayal ... Daniel Baldwin plays Alex's potential buyer, this
site's good friend (and one of the film's producers) Cuyle Carvin a
detective that despite limited dialogue has quite an effect on the film's
finale. A pretty nice low budget but high octane action
thriller that manages to make its seemingly straightforward story twist
and turn in many ways, with plenty of double and triple crossing,
especially in the third act, keeping things interesting even beyond the
well-executed action scenes. And a rather cool cast playing a cast of
characters that transcends the simple good-bad dichotomy but is burdened
with motives of their own make this a very nice watch for sure.
