Just for fun, young Stacy (Michiko Jimenez) accompanies Brandon (Shane
Ryan), a charming young guy with a videocamera, to his hotelroom - to make
a movie, as he suggests. Brandon has soon enough persuaded the girl to
strip to her underwear, however, her naivity soon makes him realize she's
not 18 (like she has originally claimed) but a mere 13. Still, that
doesn't turn Brandon away from her (as it should), he still forces her to
give him a blowjob on camera - then he strips her naked and rapes her ...
and Stacy figures it's best to be a good girl and stoically let everything
happen, because then it's over the quickest - and that's where she's dead
wrong, because Brandon is the Amateur Porn Star Killer, a psycho
who persuades girls to have sex with him on cam, then kills them and
smuggles the tapes of the crime into video rentals all across the country
... and sure enough, he soon smothers Stacy with a pillow, and when that
doesn't do the trick, he brutally beats her to death ...
shocking and unsettling film not because of its content as such (after
all, the title is a dead-giveaway as to what to expect) but because of its
(intentional) directorial simplicity (the whole thing is filmed from
Brandon or rather his camera's point-of-view), because of its buildup (in
some ways, the film is one giant suspense setpiece), and because of its
totally believable actors - Michiko Jimenez really brings across a naive
13-year-old while Shane Ryan is every bit as charming (in a sleazy way) as
you would expect a guy talking girls into making porn to be.
In all, a
great little movie, though you might only want to watch it if you can
accept that it delivers exactly what the title promises.
