When he was a little kid, young Adam saw his mother (Farrah Abraham)
and aunt (Emii) treating his psycho dad (Ethan McDowell) in a rather not
that favourable manner, and that stuck with him ... Now, Adam is an
insurance adjuster and he seems to be good at his job, being friendly with
his customers - in a sometimes maybe too friendly way, but one at least
can't blame him for trying. Thing is, Adam hasn't got any friends, and
even his mother (Brinke Stevens) hangs up on him when he calls, but he's
really trying hard to do good by everybody, especially his neighbour
Amanda (Sarah Nicklin) - and here's where the problem starts, as doing
good by everyone occasionally means killing people to Adam, just to settle
some scores Adam's "friends" might have, and when these friends
don't appreciate this, Adam feels no remorse to kill them as well. The
police ar hot on Adam's track, but since he's been part of a top secret
gouvernment program to create a super soldier and he has assumed the
identity of a fallen veteran, it's not exactly easy to track him down -
especially since at the police there's lots of things going on behind the
scenes that's anything but ok, and detective Andrews (Kristin Wall) really
has to fight to properly get her hands on the case ... and she really
fights with all she's got! Mindy Robinson plays one of the detectives in
Kristin Wall's way .. A rather interesting thriller that
manages to tell a seemingly predictable story in a very original way,
telling it from more than one perspective and thus giving the by now
rather cliché-riddeled genre a fresh spin. And add to that a directorial
effort that finds the right balance between shocks, suspense and
atmosphere, and an uniformly very competent cast, and you've got yourself
a pretty good movie!
