Once upon a time, actually not all that long ago, Jule (Marlene Fahnster)
was a budding photographer with a drive ... but thenj apparently life
happened and drove all drive out of her . That is until she meets her old
friend Clara (Lisa Leonard), who just can't accept her best friend having
become such a bore, so she sends her out one night to not return without a
picture she has really put her heart into. Jule accepts the challenge, but
once out also notices there's little that exsites er anymore - that is
until she runs into a young man (Francisco Aurell) at a bus station
drawing doodles in the sand with a stick ... Now Vielleicht
besser so is quite sure to resonate with any creative peron who
has ever hit an artiscit block - and let's be honest, haven't we all? -,
but ultimately it reaches beyond just this kind of audience, telling a
story about life's missed opportunities with a lot of heart and empathy.
And welll-written characters delivering poignant dialogue works to that
end - as does a solid cast and a suitably subtle directorial effortt, with
the result being a very enjoyable and compelling short.
