Ava (Samantha Jean) and Carter's (Skyler Bible) relationship took off
on a high note - but now that they've been together a while, have moved in
together, have found a routine around one another, all fire is gone, and
even when they're in the same room they feel isolated from one another.
This hurts them both, but what they don't know is it hurts the respective
other as well, but it takes some digging into their past together and into
their fears, dreams and expectations to get out of this hole and start
anew with one another ... A very heart-felt relationship drama,
and one that works quite so well because it tells the story from both
perspectives, gives both characters an inner voice, and thus doesn't dwell
on who's to blame but how to fix things. And a subtle direction that
allows bright spots in its overall not so bright story (including a
punchline at the end that brings the film full circle) and a strong duo of
protagonist bring this film to life and make it into an entertaining
whole.
