One hot summer day, Edward Paige (Harry Bartell) sees a blonde (Vicki
Raaf) being robbed and murdered in the appartment right across the street
- but when he leads the police there, they find the appartment empty,
empty of even the furniture Paige so vividly described, let alone the
murdervictim. And it turns out the appartment has been like this for a
month now. Paige is even told to visit a psychiatrist (Boris Karloff), but
is deemed totally sane. A few days later, the murder really happens,
just like Paige described it, and the cops (Paul Bryar, ray Montgomery)
want to arrest Paige for the murder ... only too many fact just don't add
up, so they start searching for a man fitting the description (Gene
Collins) Paige has given them - and can only make him confess when Paige
describes the crime in great detail ... Hitchcock's Rear
Window with a supernatural twist - and surprisingly, even though the
story doesn't make all that much sense that way, it works. One of the best
episodes of The Veil.
