The main feature, The Fappening,
is interrupted by 5 indie horror shorts that might have little to do with
the main feature or each other, but are nevertheless worth a look:
- He's Not Looking So
Great: Even a zombie apocalypse can't save you from being
dumped by your boyfriend ...
- Friends in Dark Places:
A dad thinks there's something not entirely right with his son ... and
is only too right!
- Sepulcher: What's worse,
one of these zombie apocalypses ... or being locked in a room with
your co-workers for God knows how long?
- The Butcher Game: Even
masked psycho killers have boring day jobs ...
- Demon Frequency:
Does hearing weird voices saying weird thing on your radio mean your
radio's broken or it's the end of the world?
Both the framing feature film (which is also sold as a standalone movie
by the way) and the shorts thrown in offer a great ride through indie
genre cinema, and show its potential to greatly entertain away from
mainstream formulas, or actually building on mainstream formulas in ways
no big studio would ever actually dare.
Prepare to be entertained!
