At a BDSM-themed photo show, a man (Leonardo Pace) spots a woman
(Stefania Visconti) he fancies - and even if it's clear from the get-go
that she does not only not fancy him but that she's actually freaked out
by him to an extent that she leaves the show prematurely, he decides to
follow her through the streets to ultimately get what he figures he's
entitled to. Thing is, the woman isn't exactly what he made her out to be,
and she can not only put up enough resistance to ward him of, she even
manages to lure him into a trap and teach him a lesson ... and painfully
so. But there's even more to her ... For the most part, Undercover
Mistress looks and feels like a very stylish thriller that grows into
a fetish piece that invariably puts atmosphere over sleaze and is somewhat
reminiscent of giallo movies of old. But it's the film's pay-off that
really sets this short apart from others of its ilk, as it turns gender
identities (and with them audience expectations) totally on their heads -
in a lovably bizarre way. Definitely one to watch out for!
