Sam (Tara Smoker) has been gone missing while working at the diner only because she was taking over a shift for her party-happy sister Marlo (Angela Rachelle). That was 6 months ago, and Marlo hasn't been the same ever since ... and suddenly she finds herself on the run from gangster Mr Way (Scott F. Evans), the very man who has killed her sister, and is saved mainly by the timely intervention of cop Lym (John T. Woods), who fills her in with quite a few details about her sister's death. And then, while revisiting the diner, she meets an old lady (Gigi Perreau), who just happens to have a coin that takes her back in time to only minutes before her sister was shot. Now Marlo does everything in her power to save her sister, but somehow fails to talk sense into her - especially since objectively, Sam did nothing wrong, she just took four weird coins from a regular, Bergg (Sean Faye) as a tip, later wanted to return the man's keys to his office, which is in the same building, to find him killed by Way, who now will stop at nothing to retrieve the coins. When Sam (through no fault of her own) is unable to return the coins, he gets violent. Marlo tries to intervene but somehow leaves the building - which returns her to her own time. Her sister's still gone, probably murdered.

Marlo tracks down the old lady again for a second attempt to retrieve the coins, but this time it's even worse, Sam gets killed before her very eyes and she gets thrown out of a window to ... her own present time. But she has learned the coins Sam is looking for are from ancient Rome and seem to have timetravelling powers.

Again, Marlo heads for the old lady and makes her return her to her time again - the very last time because it's the last coin - and this time she does everything differently, even takes the offensive now and again, and ultimately, she manages to return Sam to her time ... but the threat's not over, Way will stop at literally nothing to get the coins ...

Basically, Time Again is a fun time-travelling film because it has an actual and complex story to tell beyond the mere novelty of time travel (which is presented in a very skeletal, a tad over-simplified form by the way), because it doesn't take itself wholly seriously without ever becoming moronic or the actors playing it anything but straight, because it does feature interesting and likeable characters, and because it puts an emphasis on well-executed action (also featuring two ass-kicking women for a welcome change). Oh, and the film is pretty well-paced, too, and doesn't spend too much times with unnecessary explanations (which at times is almost a shame I have to admit).

Very entertaining, actually!
