One evening, two girls (Missy Poison, Luna Wolf) decide to put an urban
legend to the test, the one about summoning Bloody Mary by saying her name
into the mirror three times in the dark. Of course, they expect nothing at
all to happen, but so what, they still bring their camera to the occasion
... and after the invocation, when they turn the light on again, a message
on the mirror reads "Help me!" That leaves the girls a bit
confused, but not really worried as seemingly each regards it as a prank
of the respective other. But later that night, things do go bump and it's
not a prank any more - and that's only the beginning ... While Things
That Go Bump in the Night has most certainly not re-invented horror or
urban legend or found footage cinema, it's nevertheless a nice genre
miniature that works very well because the two girls behind the film
collectively known as the Evil Twins really like the horror genre
as such, very obviously have fun telling their story, and they come off as
very likeable. Plus, they keep things enjoyably bare-to-the-bones in this
8 minute movie. Very entertaining, to say the least. Oh, and
if you want to see the girls in their own vampire/werewolf movie Vampire
Coven (and who doesn't, really?), you might want to contribute to the
good cause: https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/vampire-coven-mini-movie#/story ...
and if this has gotten you at all interested, why don't you watch the
movie here and now?
