Kage no Soto (Naoto Nagashima), mysterious leader of evil organisation
Seiroukai, returns to Japan to speak at a conference with the student
presidents of the best girl schools of the country. Saki (Yoko Minamino),
undercover girl cop, tracks down one of the student presidents, Kaname,
and convinces her to let herself assume her identity for the conference to
finally get hold of Kage no Soto. Saki leaves Kaname in the care of her
two sidekicks Yukino (Akie Yoshizawa) and Okyo (Haruko Sagara).
Unfortunately, it's suspected too soon that Saki isn't the real Kaname,
and Kage no Soto sends a trio of hypnotic henchwomen to fetch Kaname, and
only after she's in Seiroukai's custody does Kage no Soto unmask Saki. Of
course, Yukino and Okyo dash to the rescue, and ultimately the baddies can
be defeated and Kaname freed. Only Kage no Soto manages to escape, and he
leaves a lingering feeling behind that he might be Saki's long-forgotten
brother ... Storywise this episode is nothing special, and the
"reveal" that Kage no Soto and Saki might be related had been
hinted towards plentiful in earlier entries. But that said, the hypnotic
henchwomen who look a bit like psychedelic ghosts are a nice, campy touch.
And with the somewhat predictable plot moving along at a brisk pace, this
is at least plenty of fun to watch.
