A politician is killed when adressing a large crowd, & the
Gravediggers, a biker gang, just happen to be at the scene of crime -
furthermore, one of them has seen the killer So´ the killer starts
hunting down the Gravediggers one by one & killing them. Enter
bike-riding cop Stone (Ken Shorter), who tires to hunt down the killer,
but is initially met with disrespect from the Gravediggers - until he
saves there lives from a sniper attack of the killer. He then
startsriding with them, & they kill an awful lot of the movie's time
by doing the usual biker-shenanigans - bike racing, ear-piercing, booze,
soft drugs & the like. Much later, the killer ebnters the picture
again, being a henchman for some evil landdeveloppers. He wants to set
up up the Gravediggers to fight their rival gang, thje Black Hawks,
instead though is found out, & only thanks to Stone's interception
is he saved from the Gravediggers' wrath. Stone though is cast out of
the gang, much to his dismay, & badly beaten up in the end. A
biker movie from the 70's saying cops are cool guys, too ?! Now
I've seen everything. Apart from this stupidity, the film is filled with
naive biker philosophy, with the murder mystery set up in the beginning
soon gone missing from the film, & when it's finally re-introduced,
you just can't help yourself not caring anymore. The biker-philosophy on
the other hand was by '74 already overused in many AIP- or Al
Adamson-flicks or Easy Rider, so noone would care anymore anyhow.
& at least these flicks wouldn't have a cop-hero !
