Just before the ending of World War II, the Japanese have developed a
new super fighter plane, the Zero Machine, but never had the chance to
build let alone use it. The inventor of the Zero Machine has since
seperated the blueprints for the plane into three pieces and handed them
to his apprentices for safekeeping shortly before his death. Now though,
the Iron Cross Army has found out about the Zero Machine andthe Army's
leader Professor Monster (Mitsuo Ando) wants to use the thing to
super-power his latest, airplane-like Machine Bem (~ robot monster), so he
has the apprentices of the Zero Machine-depveloper tracked down one by
one. Fortunately though, Spider-Man (Shinji Todou) gets wind of the whole
affair and - also helped by his giant robot Marveller/Leopardon - brings
everything to a happy ending ... in which he burns the blueprints for good
to keep them out of the hands of the Iron Cross Army. Average
episode of the series: On one hand the typical annoying kids are rather
absent from this one, and the Machine Bem looks pretty hilarious, but on
the other hand, the plot is a bit on the boring side.
