It starts out as a chance meeting in the men's room between obsessively
hand-washing Bobby (Robert John Canelli) and down to earth Paulie (Bradley
Rhodes), who's friendly enough to offer his assistance in Bobby fighting
his obsession. They start to talk and learn they attend the same wedding,
Bobby as groom while Paulie is the bride's ex. It should be an awkward
situation, but the two men do their best to get to know, even befriend one
another - also since the bride-to-be has left Paulie ages ago. But since
they're men, it's not long before more primal instincts break through ... This
one's fun: A well-written dialogue piece that really gets a lot out of its
premise and avoids being a one-trick pony by giving its characters (and
the situation they're in) depth, also via subtext. And add to that a very
solid directorial effort that gets the most out of its limited location,
and strong performances, and you've got yourself a winner.
