Now this is not an easy film to summarize as it doesn't follow traditional
narrative patterns but is more of a meditation on Canto XIII from
Danten Alighieri's Inferno, made up from imagery (which I surmise
is at least in part stock footage) of many things, from animal footage to
scenes of people dancing around in animal and demon costumes, to short
clips from concerts even, mostly (but not exclusively) in bluely tinted
black and white, set do primarily beat-driven electronic music as sort of
an anchor for the film's associative stream.
The result of all of this is weirdly fascinating and, thanks to its strong
visual language, unsettling - provided of course one opens one's mind to
it and has a soft spot for experimental cinema.
