Not really knowing what to do with the evening, Andres and his pregnant
wife Ana are addressed by two strangers in the streets, Bruno and Berta,
and Bruno claims he and Andres have been to college together. Andres can't
remember Bruno, but since he and Ana don't know what to do withthe evening
anyways, they accept their invitation to their house in the country.
At first everything seems to be like a perfectly nice evening, only the
fact that Andres' and Ana's dog goes missing is slightly unsettling. Then
though, all four of them decide to play around a bit with a Ouija-board -
which does reveal a few details about an affair Ana had with Andres'
brother, and - more gravely - that Bruno will soon commit suicide. This
kind of spoils the evening - but now it has started raining heavily, and
there is no way that the country roads are passable in this kind of
weather. So for better or worse, Andres and Ana have to stay for the night
... which soon leads to some (Satanic) fourway sex, at the end of which
Berta has a nervous breakdown.
The next day, andres and Ana sleep into the early afternoon, and when
they want to go they find their hosts gone, their car gone and their dog
gone. Soon enough, their hosts return in their car ... but the dog can
only be found dead, slaughtered actually.
Ana and Andres want to leave - understandably - but now their car won't
start, and while they are still trying to get away, Bruno shoots himself
(or did Berta shoot him). The doctor who comes to examine the body though
blames Andres and Ana for killing him. A short time later, Berta cuts her
wrists in the bathtub. Andres and Ana desperately try to save her life,
but when she seems to come back to her senses and talks in Bruno's voice,
Andres is so shocked that he bangs her head until she dies ...
Andres and Ana now decide to put her back into the bathtub, to make it
look like suicide after all, then they try to get away ... only to find
out that it's not as easy as it sounds, since some doors are suddenly
locked or lead somewhere they are not supposed to, and eventually even
dead Bruno and Berta come back to life ... and all of a sudden, going
through yet another door, Ana and Andres end up in the hallway in their
own appartment building. But entering their appartment, they find all
their things are gone ...
Fortunately, their neighbours invite them into their appartment to come
back to their senses ... but unfortunately, they hold a Black Mass in
their appartment, and all the devil worshippers soon stab Ana and Andres
to death ...
Bruno and Berta meanwhile are back ont he road again, picking up
another couple.
One of these typical pieces of 1970's horror-erotica, somehow
reminiscent of Rosemary's Baby (though rather different in story),
but in fact nothing really special. The whole set-up of the film is
dragged out way too long, and it's only during the climax, when our lead
couple desperately tries to leave but finds the world around them has
abandoned logic, that the movie really gains momentum, but then it's
already almost over. Still, if you love 1970's horror-erotica, you might
at least find yourself entertained.
