As every year since they can remember (probably), three guys (Chris
Gierowski, Scott Gleine, Nathan Pinsoneault) spend Halloween together, and
from the looks of it, it gets lamer every year - after all, how often can
you hear the same horror stories, play the same games without getting
dead-bored? And then one of them decides to play "Sadie Jane"
again, which is really lamer than anything else, the whole game's just
saying "Sadie Jane" - it's an urban legend thing - into a mirror
three times and wait what happens ... and usually nothing does - only this
year, said Sadie Jane has decided to pay the guys a visit ... and it
doesn't end happily ...
Sadie Jane is a fun horror
miniature. Sure, there's nothing actually "new" about the film's
story (think Candyman for instance), but that's not to say the film
doesn't work perfectly as 7minute shocker that shows how much can be
achieved with suggestive storytelling, just hinting at the events in
question rather than showing them, and this way only heightening the
suspense and ultimate shock value.
Really nice to watch!
