Lincoln (Alexander Wraith) and his team (Bianca Brigitte VanDamme,
Katie Heidy, Leon Malas) run a ghost hunter operation ... without anyone
really knowing what they're doing - but they've got great effects, and
thus their YouTube videos look great, and it's thanks to their boss/agent
Monica (Elina Loukas) that they stay in business based on that. Now true,
their exploits more often than not end in utter chaos and if it wasn't for
clever editing, they'd look like fools - but they're ghosthunters on the
internet, so who'd take them seriously to begin with? Things start to take
a turn towards the serious when during one assignment Monica is possessed
and almost dies, and it's only thanks to a real (?) exorcist (Sean Stone)
that she comes out of it unscathed (but pretty horny), when things start
to get real ... and then they encounbter a vampire (Dale C. Reeves) who
takes one of them (Bianca Brigitte VanDamme) to another dimension, and
suddenly our heroes realize they're not in Kansas anymore - and have to
make a thorough shopping trip to Home Depot to get themselves all
the right stuff (light sabers included) to get their friend back again ...
What if the daughter of Jean-Claude Van Damme Bianca Brigitte
and the son of Oliver Stone Sean made a movie together - well you wouldn't
expect it to look anything like Paranormal Activity Security Squad
for sure - and that said, that's exactly what that movie actually looks
like ... And now, with the name-dropping out of the way, let's get to
the movie as such, which is not only a parody of the Paranormal
Activity series and the found footage craze as such, but really a
spoof of all things horror, a spoof that might be a bit broad in its
humour but that nevertheless hits the mark way more time than it misses,
and that - other than the Scary Movie series that just takes
shot at everything that doesn't duck quickly enough - actually understands
its horror (and related genres) and really takes its bull by the horns,
throwing a totally wild and silly mix at the audience that at times really
has to be seen to be believed - in a good way. And if
this has at all gotten you interested, feel free to watch the movie here
