Two night guards, one seasoned (Dragan Marinkovic), the other young and
hot-headed (Stevan Matic) are to guard a long bombed out warehouse - a
futile job indeed. The older of the two has long come to term with his
fate, especially after the loss he has suffered back, erm, then, but the
younger one, despite having experienced a similar loss, still wants to
break out, live a little ... and when he finds two very drunk young lovers
(Viktorija Arsic, Marko Vuckovic) stumbling across the premises in search
for a place to fornicate - and he follows them intending to partake in
their fun and games ... only to (again) find out the terrible truth about
himself and those who work with him ... Night Guards is
a suitably spooky tale about life and death, love and lust, humans and
ghosts, brought to life by an original script, atmospheric filmmaking and
a very competent cast, all in front of just the right backdrops. Really
worth a watch (or two).
