Doug (Kevin James) and Carrie (Leah Remini) are to go to Atlantic City
with Doug's friend Richie (Larry Romano) and his girlfriend Marie (Michele
Maika) - even though Carrie positively hates Marie. Then she lets it slip
to Doug that Marie is cheating on Richie and persuades it to tell that to
Richie, just to get out of the Atlantic City trip ... but Doug is just to
soft at heart to deliver these news to Richie, so several attempts lead to
nowhere, and it's off to Atlantic City despite everything, where Doug is
finally able to break the news to Richie while winning at a gambling table
...
Storywise, one of the weaker episodes of the series because
the carefully set-up story never gets a satisfying resolution and the
resolution it does ghet seems rushed and lacking in dramatic impact. Also,
Richie is one of the weaker supporting characters of the series, which
doesn't help very much either. That all said, some good dialogue and the
usual great performances by Kevin James, Leah Remini and Jerry Stiller
help make this entertaining despite everything.
