Doug (Kevin James) and Carrie (Leah Remini) are kept awake night after
night by the barking of their new neighbours' (Brian Cranston, Dee Dee
Rescher) dog. This puts Carrie in battle-mode right away, but Doug insists
on handling the situation on his own - especially since he wants peace
with his neighbours, who seem to be nice people apart from their dog. But
Doug's intervention only leads to him walkng the dog in his neighbours'
stead, which causes Carrie to lose her cool right away once more when she
finds out ... but after she confronts the neighbours and sees they are
simply unfit to care for the dog, she and Doug find themselves almost
forced to adopt the animal. A rather will-written episode
that's also the first story to let Carrie's bitchy persona come to the
fore, something that would become a mainstay later on in the series. The
usual solid acting, a few great gag and a funyn surprise ending all don't
hurt either of course.
