Carrie (Leah Remini) gets a ticket for overtaking a schoolbus, and
since it's not her first offence, that means her car insurance will
double. Then though the cop (Daniel Roebuck) who gave her the ticket calls
her for a date, and Carrie's husband Doug (Kevin James)convinces her to go
out with him, because if he likes her, he might not be appear in court
when Carrie's ticket goes to trial. Carrie is dead-set against it, but
ultimately she gives in and has a nice time, actually. Then though the cop
doesn't call her back for days on end, which almost gets her depressed
though she has no real intentions with the guy, but when he finally calls
(after spending days at a stake-out), Carrie's dad Arthur (Jerry Stiller)
destroys all chances of the cop doing her a favour and not appearing in
court by calling him a homewrecker and stuff ... Weaker episode
on King of Queens, working on a premise just a tad too
far-fetched to actually work - yet a few funny dialogues and the usual
nice performances by James, Remini and Stiller save this from being a real
bomb.
