Ashley Roland is no stranger to ghostly visitations - in fact she has been
experiencing them since age 11 and all through adolescence, but they have
decreased in adulthood, so much so that they were hardly a concern to her
anymore - until she moved with her family in her husband*s parents* home,
a house teeming with spirits, both good and bad. Now experiene has taught
her how to handle visitations, but when she learns her children see the
ghosts as well, she starts to worry. She calls on psychic Soledad Haren
for help - but her attempt to cleanse the house makes the spirits angry,
and when Ashley's son Javier befriends one of the ghosts, she knows she
needs a proper exorcism from professional ghosthunters Chris and Harmony
DeFlorio ... Now the plot of It's Coming sounds
like right out of a horror movie, but this is actually a documentary - and
a pretty good one at that. But before you ask, no this film will not
convince you that ghosts are real, and really it lacks any and all
spectacle to sway your opinion on the subject one way or the other.
Instead, it's a rather intimate portrait of a family that experiences, for
lack of a better term, something - something that's not easily
explainable. And exactly this intimacy makes this documentary quite a
compelling and fascinating watch.
