The tropical island paradise of Mauritius: Young playboy Michel
(Philippe Garnier) is deeply in love with young & innocent Sylvia
(Marine Mervil), but apart from that he has quite a few problems: He is
married to another woman, Julia (Bea Fiedler), who is just about to return
from Europe, which is pretty much putting an end to his affair, then he
has big gambling debts with local casino owner & all-around bad guy
Howard (Arthur Brauss) - he also runs some slave ships just off-coast of
Mauritius where he forces the island's most lovely girl into prostitution
-, plus Michel's rich aunt Henriette (Lili Muráti) refuses to help him
out with money. & then there's lovely Peggy, who shows an unhealthy
interest in his businesses - she would later turn out to be a private
detective hired by lady Henriette to watch over him.
But then innocent Sylvia, who might not be quite as innocent, comes up
with the perfect solution: Why not kill Lady 'Henriette ? Reluctantly he
agrees, not knowing that Henriette is not really his aunt but actually his
mother who gave him away to avoid scandal because she was unmarried.
However, Michel bungles it up, plus he also loses his wife to Howard in a
game of poker. & once in Howard's arms, Julia persuades him to have
Michel killed. However, when Howard's right hand man (Otto W.Retzer) wants
to get rid of Michel in an accident, he is saved in the last moment
by Peggy ...
Sylvia, not content with Michel's attempt to murder Lady Henriette,
decides to hire her right hand man Pang to properly do the job - &
offers him her body in return ... & soon enough the lady is dead,
& when Sylvia afterwards refuses to pay up, Pang just rapes her.
Still, things are not quite ok for Michel & Sylvia, since Julia
wants a divorce and all of Lady Henriette's inheritance. So Sylvia comes
up with another very practical plan: Why not kill Julia as well ?
Interestingly though, later that day on the beach, Sylvia meets up with
Julia & the 2 turn out to be lesbian lovers, just putting into action
an elaborate plan to get rid of ichel ... but by chance Peggy has
overheard their conversation ...
Later, Michel is trying to set a timebomb to blow Julia to kingdom
come, but Sylvia has tampered with the thing a bit beforehands so it's
supposed to go up the minute Michel touches it ... but thank god Peggy can
save him just in time, but still blow up the boat so Sylvia & julia
think Michel's dead. Then she persuades him to help her, & Lady
Henriette's gardener Ching who's looking for his girlfriend, to attack
Howard's slaveship ... & somehow the 3 of them manage to defeat
Howard, plus his violent right hand man plus his guards with only their
bare fists & free all the girl (including Ching's girlfriend).
In the meantime, Sylvia & Julia are celebrating their triumph
having some lesbian sex, when Lady Henriette, not dead at all thanks to
her right hand man Pang's loyalty, steps in & chasesthem off the
island. & when she later hears of Michel having taken care of Howard,
she is finally proud of him too. & wouldn't you know it, in the end,
Michel & Peggy become a cuple ...
A convoluted murder mystery, full of soap opera mootives & peppered
with sexploitation imagery - a rather silly mix, & clumsily executed,
full of stupid dialogue & uniformly bad persormances. It's not a good
piece of sexploitation even, but in some weird trashy way, you might still
like it.
