Just like in some of the previous episodes, genie Jeannie (Barbara
Eden) wants to get her master, atronaut Tony (Larry Hagman), to marry her.
And when he yet again refuses, she just creates her own Tony, who's madly
in love with her and not afraid to show it. There is of course another
side to the story: NASA psychiatrist Dr Bellows (Hayden Rorke) thinks Tony
is slightly insane - basically because he's not married ... and then he
catches fake Tony making out with Jeannie - and since he thinks Tony's the
real deal, he pretty much talks him into marrying her come weekend. When
Tony learns he's supposed to be married on Sunday, he ... well, panics -
but he shows up to the wedding nevertheless, and Jeannie, seeing what her
master is willing to do for her, thus leaves him at the altar (and into
his relative freedom) as a thank-you. One of the lesser
episodes of I Dream of Jeannie, basically because it plays
up the marriage angle too much and on the other hand forgets to tell a
proper story. Well, at least the cast is good and genuinely funny, but a
better thought-through script might have done this one wonders.
