For a charity auction for the Space Welfare Fund, Major Tony Nelson
(Larry Hagman) paints a mock Rembrandt - and not a very good one, mind
you. But when he mentions he wished he could paint like Rembrandt, his
genie Jeannie (Barbara Eden) takes it literally and turns his mock
Rembrandt into the genuine article. And since two respected art critics
(Booth Colman, Jonathan Hole) are at the auction, it doesn't take long
before Tony's original Rembrandt is identified as such and hauls in a
record sum. And soon, NASA psychiatrist Dr Bellows (Hayden Rorke) takes it
upon himself to find scientific evidence that the Rembrandt's a Rembrandt
too. But to really make sure he has caught Tony red-handed this time
around, he has an art expert from the Louvre (E.J. André) flown in - but
Jeannie poses as this art expert and makes sure the last laugh's on Dr
Bellows ... Ok episode that follows the series' favourite
formula (Jeanny wants to help Tony, embarrasses him, he almost gets caught
by Dr Bellows, but in the last instant she uses her powers to embarrass Dr
Bellows) to the letter and has very little to offer concerning surprises -
but at least the cast is uniformly in top form making this a rather
entertaining little romp.
