NASA astronaut Tony Nelson (Larry Hagman) is literally days away from
his first launch into outer space including a space walk - something his
genie Jeannie (Barbara Eden) doesn't approve of ... understandably so,
this is after all fairly dangerous. But since he's hell-bent to do it, she
sabotages his health check in such a manner NASA physician Dr Bellows
(Hayden Rorke) wants to ground him for life - which breaks Tony's heart,
since all he wanted to do was to one day go to outer space. It's only now
that Jeannie begins to understand what she's done, so she plays a few
pranks on Dr Bellows so he questions his own sanity - et voilà, he sees
himself in no position anymore to judge Tony's heath. So Tony goes to
outer space, but on his first spacewalk Jeannie can't help but accompany
him. Fun episode of I Dream of Jeannie because it
stays with its simple plot from beginning to end without deviations and
instead tries and succeeds to get the best out of every situation. And
Barbara Eden is at her mischievous funniest ...
