Lucille (Vanessa del Rio) receives an invitation to a seance in a haunted house, and she immediately calls her swinger friends to accompany her, and even though they're in the middle of an orgy, they agree. Then Lucille has sex with her husband (David Williams), who after the act tells her he won't join  her for the seance, and he puts her into a chastity belt to keep her from cheating on him (she does have a key for this one though).

The house seems to be really haunted, as a ghost squirts his cum into Lucille's face, but her friends are only too glad to fuck her to calm her down. The next day, Lucille and friends take part in the seance, in the nude, inexplicable, and the spirit of the Marquis de Sade appears and kidnaps Lucille. Her friends go looking after her, but soon come to the conclusion it might be a better idea to have an impromptu orgy instead. The Marquis and his hunchbacked servant (Peter Andrews) flog and rape Lucille, but she seems to thoroughly enjoy it - and couldn't be happier when the Marquis reveals himself to be her own husband ...

Now it's probably an odd thing to say about a porn movie that it has structural issues - but at the same time, House of De Sade most certainly had: Basically, it's a film about a seance that invokes the spirit of De Sade ... and yet, almost half of the film's short running time (about an hour) is spent with Lucille having sex with her husband intercut with her friends having an orgy. And even once everybody's at the haunted house, all the haunting a little too quickly leads to just another sex scene - to a point where one wonders why the bothered making up a plot at all rather than just make a sequence of fuck scenes. On the plus side though, the sex really is hot, and while the hairstyles of some of the girls might look a bit too 1970s (both head and pubic hair), Vanessa del Rio most certainly is at her hottest, and she doesn't hold back. And one scene, when David Williams fucks Vanessa with a cucumber while at the same time cutting slices off it to feed to her definitely deserves special mention due to its bizarre nature ...
