The relationship between a married couple (Creep Creepersin, Ariauna
Albright) has come to a dead end. He is getting on her nerves with
everything he does, everything he says, and even the weird noises he makes
while sleeping, and he's unable to take her constant nagging anymore. Then
one day he receives a letter that merely says "proceed", but she
reads it as a job offer at "the company" - and this is where
everything falls apart: He starts having illusions, black-outs,
experiences the same situations twice in slightly altered versions and the
like. He also starts to experience apparitions of a weird woman (Destiny
Jasmine Rodriguiez) who promises to explain everything but then only seems
to want to bum cigarettes. Meanwhile, the wife makes plans to kill him,
hires a contract killer after she has learned everything about killing
husbands from a crosswords puzzle. But is any of this real, or is
everything only happening in his head? We'll never know ... A
weird film that's probably best described as "What if David Lynch
made a comedy?" - and by saying so I probably do He's director
Creep Creepersin an injustice because he's not trying to imitate Lynch's
style in any way, sticks instead closer to his own horrormovie roots, but
knows when and how to take the subtle approach to advance his story, and
he isn't afraid to take his movie into uncharted territory. However, the
end result (intentionally) leaves just as many questions open as classic
Lynch, and the film as a whole comes across as just as trippy. Recommended!
