Maggie (Connie Jo Sechrist) is sure her house is haunted, even if
her neighbour (Harold Whitson) assures her no death has occured in the
place ever. Thing is, ghosts are the last thing Maggie actually has to
worry about.
- Claire (Kelsey Zukowski) is going to her first babysitting
assignment - but the father (Wyzae Crankfield) of the kid she's
supposed to tend to is one sick psycho.
- An actress (Reyna Young) goes to an audition and wins the part - but
then decides the director (Andrew Stone) is too creepy a guy to work
with and turns down the role ... but the director is less than willing
to let her go ...
Forgotten Tales is first and foremost a fun anthology movie,
made by people who very obviously love the horror genre: It's
self-consciously comicbooky in approach, old-fashioned in the best
possible way, it doesn't take itself too seriously without being in the
least moronic, tells a trio of likeable and unexpectedly connected
stories, is directed in a fittingly relaxed way, and it's carried by a
very decent cast. In all, a totally enjoyable movie!
