Flash Gordon (Steve Holland) and Dale Arden (Irene Champlin) are on
their way to a high security prison planet to fix the oxygen generator,
something apparently only Dale is capable of. On the planet though, on eof
the convicts, Flaggott, learns that his arch nemesis Flash is here, breaks
out of his cell (which seems to be particularly easy on this high
security prison planet, he just removes a panel in the wall and out he
goes) and hides in Flash's spaceship like a spider in its web.
Once Flash and Dale are back and have taken off, he takes over control
of the ship, but still he needs Flash's help to navigate through a meteor
shower, which gives Flash at least a fighting chance.
Meanwhile, back at the headquarters of the GBI (Galactic Bureau of
Investigations), the organisation Flash is working for, his superiors
decide they can't let Flash's spaceship, the best in the universe, fall
into the hands of the enemy, even if that means destroying the ship and
Flash and Dale with it, and so they decide to blow it up at its next fuel
stop ...
Meanwhile, Flash's ship lands on a planet with highly poisonous
atmosphere, but as long as you hold your breath you should be fine ... but
when Flash and Flaggott are picking up the fuel, Flash suddenly pushes
Flaggott, which causes the villain to gasp out of surprise ... and he's
done for.
Just in time, Flash can signal to the GBI ship that he is in control
again, and the ship, he and Dale are ultimately saved ...
Very silly and childish (but not in a good way) episode: The high
security prison seems to be not in the least high security, the planet
with poisonous atmosphere seems to be anything but threatening as long as
you hold your breath, and all Flash has to do to get rid of his opponent
is to make him gasp ... I mean please !
