There is something seriously off today: Bill (Jeff Dylan Graham) wakes up on the kitchen floor, feeling like shit ... and there is a dead naked girl in his bathtub. He tries to phone his girlfriend Jenny (Katie Walters) again and again and again, but she just won't answer or call back. Sure, technically Jenny is Bill's ex, but she would be there for him when he needs her ... wouldn't she?

Bill's best friend Derek (Kristian Day) stops by, and he seems to be in an annoyingly good mood, has nothing other to suggest than to party, and seems to be totally oblivious to the state Bill is in. But when Bill tells him about the dead girl, he doesn't freak out but promises to help him - even if his suggestions (incence sticks) are not exactly the best.

When Derek is gone, Jenny shows up out of the blue. She tells Bill she hasn't answered or called back because she was on a camping trip and has forgotten her cellphone. But now she will take care of him, ex or not. It's only when Bill mentions Derek that things get a little weird ... because you know, Derek is dead. And things get totally out of hand when Derek shows Jenny the dead naked girl in his bathtub, which doesn't freak Jenny out because there's a dead naked girl in the bathtub but because ...

What an enjoyably creepy movie! That said though, Fell is not your typical formulaic psycho horror film but more a walk through the labyrinthine and deranged mind of its medicated protagonist, which is also mirrored in the film's directorial effort that combines slightly shaky camerawork with a restricted colour spectrum and an eye for decay. Add to this Jeff Dylan Graham's very powerful central performance as not a dangerous madman but a deeply disturbed human being, any you've got yourself ... well, a pretty good film.

Recommended!
