He (Jason Impey) has been wanting to be a filmmaker for all his life -
but when he started out doing erotic horrors, they soon bored him. He
tried his hands on hardcore porn, with himself performing, too, but that
sounded better than it turned out to be. Eventually, our hero figure the
only way to get real reactions out of people (especially women) is to
attack and brutally kill them - so eventually he reverts to that ... and
grows more and more into a megalomaniac with every kill he performs and
gets away with. And he gets more daring and violent with every kill, too,
always persuading himself it's for the art's sake. But eventually, he gets
tired of just killing women, he actually wants his own scream queen to
scare shitless and kill, so he makes up his own version of the casting
couch ... Exploited is basically a radical 33 minutes re-cut
(with added scenes) of Jason Impey's earlier feature film Home
Made (one of his earliest), and it shows how much Impey has grown
since then (2008): Now don't get me wrong, Home
Made was by no means a disaster, it showed a lot of promise - a
promise Impey has kept with Exploited, a very tight, shocking,
intentionally disgusting piece of cinema that nevertheless pushes its
story forward, has its focus firmly on it's main villain, and wastes no
time with subplots. And here I will admit, this movie is not for everyone,
it's gory, it's cruel, and some may even call it misogynist (though that's
not true, it clearly shows that the guy relishing in violence against
women is a proper psychopath) - but genre fans will probably find plenty
to like about this one.
