John (Esme Rose) hasn't been himself of late - and that's literally
speaking even, since he has found out all his self doubts, dark thoughts
and suicidal tendencies have their root in a deep identity crisis, one
that just can't be drunk away anymore. And thus, one day he musters up
enough courage, shaves his beard, slides into women's clothes and puts
some makeup on - and decides to show himself to the world ... At
a mere 3 or so minutes in length, and with written epilogue, Esme
does feel a bit like a public service announcement - but it's also the
true story of its star/writer/actor/producer Esme Rose, formerly known at
indie movie blogger John H. Shelton, comprised into a mere handful of
minutes ... and frankly, with very little in terms of spectacle, the story
is compellingly told and feels real. And it sends out a truly positive
message, too! And if this has at all gotten you interested, you
