Sergio (Sergio Prina), Ruben (Germán de Silva) and Alicia (Liliana
Juarez) work at a big estate in the country that has been half abandoned
by its owners, so the three of them have secretly moved into the main
building to live their masters' lives, eating their food, drinking their
booze, sleeping and having sex in their beds and the like. It's only when
some of the owners pop up that they disappear in a hurry, and it seems
they just play handyman, gardener and housemaid to wait for them to leave
again. Fortunately, this hasn't happened a lot of late ... until Lourdes
(Cynthia Avellaneda) and her sister Pia (Rosario Blefari) stop by on their
way to a wedding, and especially Pia starts to take great interest in the
possession, planning to actually take control of the estate and the
farmlands that come with it to run it more efficiently. She also finds out
about Sergio, Ruben and Alicia occupying the place when everyone's gone
but keeps mum, instead she tries to better the situation of the trio,
fraternizes with them even ... when all they really wait for is for whom
they consider intruders (even if they are the owners) to move out again. A
fun film but not a great film - fun because it's full of hilarious
situations, but there's also biting satire that goes deeper than that.
It's not great though because the narrative potential of the story never
seems to be fully exploited, many sources of conflict seem to not even
been tapped into - which is a shame, because the story features good
characters, a competent cast, a fitting location, and a pair of decent
directors. Don't get me wrong, the film's still very entertaining, it
just held more promise ...
