Hitmen Dane (Devyan Dumon) and Frankie (Josh Fallon) are chasing after
a computer disk that contains records of all their crimes but that their
former accomplice Jeremy Jackson (Josh Fallon again) has stolen from them
before going into hiding. Finally though, the two have tortured a clue
leading to Jeremy out of Dax (David Dibrienza), whom they ultimately
shoot. Soon enough, Dane and Frankie have tracked down and shot Jeremy
and now try to kidnap his sister Ashley (Kristin Busk) - when a trio of
gunwielding babes (Courtney Malec, Michelle Busk, Morgana Beatty Wise) led
by psychotic Sketch (Michelle Busk) enter the scenery, knock out Dane and
Frankie and make off with Ashley. Thing is, the trio was hired by Dax, and
they only learn that he's dead when paying him a visit to deliver the girl
... but they also learn about the disk that's implanted into the girl and
thus take her to a surgeon to remove it. Once that's achieved though,
Dane and Frankie arrive on the scene, and it turns out that Dane was in
league with Sketch all along - in the finale though, everyone gets shot,
either intentionally or accidently. A movie that definitely has
potential: It's full of weird (and maybe even unlikely) but fun ideas,
witty dialogue, parodistic elements and quite a few hilarious jokes.
Unfortunately though, this film is not perfect: It's budget was obviously
a tad too low for the film's needs, the actors aren't always on-spot
(though nothing a bit of extra rehearsal time couldn't have fixed) and
especially the action scenes are sub par. But considering that this is a
no-budget amateur independent production, this one's really good as it
shows how much potential there is off-Hollywood. Recommended, despite
its shortcomings.
