The Daughters of Lesbos are - you guessed it - a group of lesbians, and
we hear all their stories, well in a way, anyways.
- There's the leader of the pack (Claudia Cheer), who has made it her
habit to tease men until they almost explode, then drop them without a
warning. But after one man has drugged her with a mix of downers and
Spanish Fly and then raped her without her being able to put up any
resistance, she founded the little group, to have revenge on men
acting in a similar fashion.
- Another member is Helga (Jo Sweet), who had never been with a man,
and has lost her sexual innocence to a fellow counselor (Carla Costa)
at a summer camp.
- Maxine is best described as a female stud, picking up girls to fuck
as a habit - like that little flowerchild hitchhiker (Sue Akers) she
later took back to the Daughters of Lesbos.
- The little flowerchild later also became Dominique's lover for a
night, but when she masturbates thinking about it a few nights later,
she is spied on by a maintenance worker (Dick White).
This concludes the group's stories, and now they have captured
Dominique's rapist, they strip him, tie him up, blindfold him, then
Dominique teases him to almost-explosion ... upon which she cuts off his
penis.
Typical late 1960's dirt-cheap sexploitation fare that's based on a
feeble story that somehow tries to fake relevance (also and especially
with its macabre ending) while the story is little more than a hanger for
showing as much female nudity as possible. As was not unusual back in the
day, the film was shot without onscreen sound, but a hard-hitting
off-screen narration accompanied by a pretty decent free jazz score really
set the tone here.
In all, not a great film, but a great piece of nostalgia, and actually
more fun than many sex flicks of the era.
