On the waya to their next gig, country musicians Dave (Ric Lutze) and
Billy (John Paul Jones) pick up hitchhikers Sue (Rene Bond) and Jan (Sandy
Dmpsey) - and drive out into the desert to have sex with the girls. But
while they're at it, a guy shows up out of nowhere to steal their
distributor cap. Fortunately the girls have their broken down car nearby,
which the guys can fix to take them to their venue, where interestingly
enough the girls work as well - as prostitutes, but Dave and Billy don't
know that yet. At the venue in the meantime, musician Mike (Louis Ojena)
has been hired to provide the musical entertainment as Dave and Billy
failed to show up on time. When they show up though, Mike agrees to
incorporate them into his band - which is awfully nice of him, right? Wrong!
You see, Mike is also Sue and Jan's pimp, and he has planted the girls to
pick up and fuck the guys, and the guy who stole the distributor cap was
one of his men. But what would he do that for? You see, Mike needed Dave
and Billy to be late so he would be hired at the club instead of them, but
he also wanted them to be in his band, so he had to create a situation
desperate enough for them to accept the job. Jan and Sue might have been
planted by Mike, but they have fallen in love with Dave and Billy all the
same - so Jan wants out of Mike's prostitution ring - so Mike takes her to
the desert and murders her. But he has drugged another of his whores,
Honey (Maria Arnold) to such an extent that she provides him with an alibi
without knowing she's telling a lie. However, Sue confesses everything
about her dirty profession to Dave and asks him for help - and the the two
of them plus Billy soon find evidence that links Mike to the murder. Billy
rushes over to Mike's place to beat him up like nobody's business before
the police arrives to arrest him ... Ok, so the story of this
film fails to make too much sense, most of the plottwists are just plain
stupid, and the finale seriously lacks excitement. Plus the songs in this
movie are all rather bad, and Louis Ojena's singing performances are
almost creepy ... and yet the film is quite some fun, your typical and
typically silly 1970's softcore sex drama in which the girls get naked a
whole lot (and they're cute, too), and the director tries to get away with
as much as possible this side of hardcore porn. Sure that doesn't make Country
Hooker a classic in any way, basically it's just a fun piece of
nostalgic erotica - and there's nothing wrong with that.
