Clement Dunn (Andrew Prine) is a mad serial killer specializing on
girls who appeared topless in a certain calendar, basically because he
thinks they are filth. And here are the stories of thre of his killings:
1) Nurse Jackie (Jaime Lyn Bauer) feels terrorized by someone - Dunn of
course, but she doesn't know that -, so when she makes a trip to the
countryside she's glad to pick up a hitchhiker, Linda (Janet Wood). Little
does she know that Linda is part of a gang of drugged rapists, and they
all have their fun with Jackie. Eventually, Jackie is saved by the
landlord (Aldo Ray) of a nearby motel, but then he wants to rape her as
well. It's quite a relief when after everything's over, a guy shows up who
introduces himself as her neighbour and who seems to have no ill
intentions - but of course it's really Dunn who has come to slaughter her.
2) Charly (Jennifer Ashley) is a model who goes to a remote island for
a shoot with a whole crew and a few other models. On the first night
there, Dunn has sneaked into her room and almost slits her throat in her
sleep - but then he decides differently and first kills everyone else in
her crew, to make her his crowning achievement.
3) Vera (Tiffany Bolling) knows somebody's after her, but don't know
who. She does try to make an escape away to the countryside though, but it
takes little effort for Dunn to catch up with her. Vera's car breaks down,
and she is picked up by two sailors (Edmund Lane, Richard Mansfield) who
offer her a ride - but then drug her and rape her and leave her behind in
the next motel. Enter Dunn, posing as the knight in shining armour who
promises to help her out and get her to wherever she wants to ... but Vera
finds out who he really is, and when he attacks her, she comes prepared,
and after a long fight, she's able to kill him.
Your typical drive-in serialkiller flick, where a thin and clichéed
plot serves as little more than an excse to show as much topless nudity as
humanly possible, garnered by a few rapes and of course brutal killings.
This all is of course fun in a nostalgic way, not because of its greatness
though (the film isn't great) but because of its shortcomings. Of a bit of
interest is the film's episodic structure that seems to offer three
stories for the price of one - but really it rather destroys the narrative
flow and buildup of tension and suspense than to add anything great to the
film.
Still, mindles fun at least.
