Once upon a time, Addis (Chris Moss) ran a corporatiion with a noble aim,
to create a pill to decrease criminal tendencies in humans - and it worked
like a charm and made the company a fortune. However, this gave Addis an
idea to create a similar pill to brainwash people to do his bidding - and
once his business partner Soul (Daniel O'Reilly) has found out about this,
he opposed Addis. Alas too late though as Addis had by then taken over the
company completely and driven Soul underground. And he of course had
another reeason to part ways with Soul because Soul had married Lilith
(Marnette Patterson), the woman ´he had long been madly in love with.
Nowadays, Soul organizes the rebellion against Addis and his company, but
that's easier said than done as Addis has long sent his henchman Canvas
(Bart Voitila) after Soul, and Canvas doesn't shy away from anything, be
it violence and executions to even brainwashing Soul's right-hand man
(Iker Amaya) ... Now I will say thig, at times Censor
Addiction is a bit hard to follow, and that's not necessarily
because it's so overly complex but just because it's over-populated, and
not all characers wear their motivations on their sleeves. That said
though, Censor Addiction is also a film tht keeps at it throughout, it's
never far from a chase, a fitght or a shoot-out, and the blood flows
freely, so the thing keeps one thoroughly entertained. And the action
scenes are all competently put together, too. Plus, the film's subject
matter sure is food for thought, which elevates this film above the usual
genre fare. So in all, ,quite an enjoyalbe flick for sure. |
