Continuing their Journey to the West, the Monk (Ho Fan), Monkey (Chow Lung Cheung), Pigsy (Peng Peng) & Sandy happen to come across a cave inhabitated by 7 spider women (Angela Yu Chien, Shen Yi, Liu Liang-Hua, Helen Ma, Yu Ching, Tien Meng, Shirley Huang), & these woman know that, if they cook & devour the Monk before morning, they will become immortal.

As the Monkey is an all powerful & cunning bodyguard to the Monk though, their initial attempts to lure him in a trap add up to naught. but then they decide to exploit Pigsy's weak spot for the opposite sex, start to seduce him once he is away from the others & wait for Monkey to defend his friend, then keep him occupied long enough to kidnap the Monk - & as an extra, Pigsy, who has temporarily been turned into a tree-stump, too.

It's now up to Monkey & Sandy to save their companions, but the cave has been sealed with silken web & is now impregnable even for Monkey's magic, & it seems the only one who knows anything about destroying the web & the cave is the Earth Lord - but unfortunately he is an old drunkard, & the spider women can easily overcome him &, disguised as him, free their sister Monkey has captured.

it seems everything is lost, until the real Earth Lord shows up & tells Monkey & Sandy about the 7 fires that are needed to destroy the cave, which Sandy is going to get, while cunning Monkey manages to slip into the cave when one of the sisters, Lady Red, lets in her lover, the demon Wugong, who, together with his mistress, wants to steal the monk to eat himself so only he & her gain immortality.

The Seventh Sister meanwhile also wants the Monk for herself & gets him into her room, unaware to the fact that is actually Pigsy who has changed roles with his master. Soon chaos ensues among the sisters, but Monkey, disguised as Second Sister, manages to use the situation to his advantage, has the Eldest Sister discover the plot of Seventh Sister & kill her. & when the real Second Sister eventually shows up, Monkey - the fake Second Sister - also manages to convince the Eldest Sister that the real Second Sister is in fact Monkey in disguise - & the Eldest Sister actually pushes her into the boiling water originally prepared for the Monk.

Eventually though, Monkey is found out, but he valiantly fights for his life & to defend his friends ... until they are lured off by Lady Red & Wugong, who lead the Monk, Pigsy, & Sandy, who has just returned with the 7 fires, to a fake Buddhist temple, where theya plan to devour the Monk. And, to undermine the Monkey's interference, Wugong even disguises himself as Monkey to give the others a false feeling of security.

In the end though, Monkey shows up to save his friends once & for all, & when theya are again abducted by the spider women, he even brings the 7 fires to their cave, finally getting rid of them once & for all.

The 3rd epsiode in the childish but also psychedelic & above all highly entertaining Journey to the West-series (the other episodes are Monkey Goes West, Pincess Iron Fan & Land of the Many Perfumes), this one, besides being cast in the same careless but inventive mold as its predecessors, is also helped by having seven (!) cute girls as the lead villains, & by - in contrast to its predecessors - telling one coherent story from beginning to end.
