Gracie Allen drives a taxman (Joseph Kearns) to despair while her
husband George Burns is invited by a baker (Frank Jaquet) to some event as
a guest of honour, but the baker seems to be more interested in stealing
George's cigars and what the show's announcer Bill Goodwin has to say
about the show's (real life) sponsor. And then there's the neighbour (John
Brown), who wants to buy his wife (Bea Benderet) a crocodile skin handbag
for their wedding anniversary ... ... so ok, there is not much
of a coherent plot in this episode, but the actors, especially Burns and
Allen, make the most out of the situations they are thrown into, and some
witty oneliners and dialogues make up for much of the lack of any actual
narrative.
