Bronx mob boss Don (Sal Amore) finds out one of his employees, Jerry,
had an affair with his moll Marie (Cindy Lunati) - so he cuts her throat
personally, then has him dragged to a formerly gouvernment-owned little
island in the East River to have him tortured and killed. Thing is, the
gouvernment has used the island to hide away atomic waste among other
things, so when left for dead, Jerry, instead of dying, manages to crawl
into a barrel of nuclear material to emerge as a hairy and indestructable
monster (Donnie Giorgio) - and somehow this monster makes it back to the
Bronx, where it's soon sighted by a few residents and almost sooner even
dubbed the "Bronx Bigfoot". As soon as professional bumbler
Buddy (John McDermott) hears about this, he hatches a "get rich
wuick"-scheme, grabs his best friend Cletus (Scott Barile), and
they're off to a Bigfoot hunt. Thing is, Jerry the monster has meanwhile
killed one of Don's men (Raffaele Santorelli), so Don and his mob want to
go after the monster as well. And there's also a newscrew on the scene, so
expect nothing short of utter chaos ...
Now my guess is if you choose to watch a movie called Bronx
Bigfoot, you're pretty much aware of what you've gotten yourself into,
a slightly silly monster movie with a rather far-fetched premise - and
this movie is exactly that, and enjoaybly so, as it doesn't take itself
too seriously, presents us with some colourful characters to lighten up
things and make them more interesting, features plenty of fun dialogue ...
and jump scares in all the right places. In all a movie that will almost
certainly all genre fans ... at least! And if this has gotten
you at all interesed, you can watch the movie right here:
