Ginger (Tracey Lixx) hasn't dated ikn months, but now she has met a man
on the internet, Brad (David Lee), and she has a blind date with him in
her sister Tabatha's (Debbie D) bar, and she has a really nice evening. So
that she remembers him, he gives her a candle, but when she lights it once
at home, it makes her dizzy until she passes out. Then a masked man breaks
into her house, ties Ginger up, ransacks her place, and strangles her once
she comes to. A few days later, Brad goes out on a blind date with Gina
(Laura Giglio). Again, the two have a nice evening, and again he gives her
a candle as a present. And wouldn't you know it, once she lights it, she
gets dizzy and passes out as well, after which a masked man breaks into
her house to tie her up and ransack her place. But Gina manages to free
herself and tries to escape, and when he catches up with her, she puts up
a fight and tears off his mask - to reveal (to no-one's real surprise)
that the killer is actually Brad. However, he manages to overpower her and
strangles her to death. A few days later, Brad visits Tabatha in her
bar, and proposes to take her out to dinner to take her mind off of the
murder of her sister. Of course, he also gives her a candle as a parting
present that knocks her out, after which he shows up at her place to
ransack it as well ... but he is interrupted by a cop, whom he only
eventually is able to overpower, then he strangles Tabatha - but is chased
away by police sirens before he can finish off the cop as well ... With
The Blind Date Strangler 2 you pretty much get what you expect from
a WAVE-movie: A bit of bondage, a few stranglings, and topless
nudity by both Tracey Lixx and Debbie D. Unfortunately though, despite all
the right ingrediences, The Blind Date Strangler 2 is not one of
the better films by the studio, basically because its plot is too basic
and straightforward to really spark much interest, lacks interesting plot
twists that pretty much make or break such a film (and which WAVE-movies
are normally not really shy of), and the film as a whole is almost
disappointingly irony-free (and irony is another thing WAVE-movies
are normally pretty good at). In all, not a total disappointment because
you get what you expect - you just don't get more than that. Ah
