Adam (Adam Cardon) and Quentin (Freddy Douglas) drive down a country
highway when they're stopped by the police - which is a bit of a problem,
since they are carrying a dead body in their trunk, because you know, Adam
has a hobby that involves killing people. Also, Quentin is covered in
blood, which should be a dead giveaway that something's wrong - but Adam
reacts quickly enough, hits Quentin on the nose so blood comes out, then
claims Quentin has some kind of nose condition, which the highway patrol
man (David Foy) readily swallows. Having averted that situation, Adam
suggests to feed the dead body to the pigs of the next pig farm they'll
pass, but he and Quentin soon enough get into an argument which escalates
when Quentin brings up his girlfriend and eventually insists on calling
her - which leads to a rather unwanted revelation ... A nicely
written and nicely directed short, but basically this is an actors' film -
and Adam Cardon and Freddy Douglas really give it their all as unlikely
friends, have just the right chemistry the story demands, and manage to
play the darkly comedic plot totally straight for maximum impact. A fun
short for sure.
