Your upcoming movie Range 15 - in a few words, what is it about, and what can you tell us about your character in it?

The zombie apocalypse occurs and it's up to a group of veterans to save the day! When the boys run across me and Jessie Wiseman's character holding down the fort at the police station, we decide to all join forces. But because we're the only girls, and my character is the only one who isn't former military... we get to ask a lot of the questions a non-military audience might ask.

What did you draw upon to bring your character to life, and how much Mindy Robinson can we find in Eliza?

There's a lot of Mindy in Eliza, what she looks like doesn't always match with what she's saying, lol. I'm interested in seeing how the audience reacts to her...

How did you get involved with the project in the first place, and to what extent could you identify with Range 15's zombie topic?

I got a phone call from Jarred Taylor about this time last year, Ross had recommended me. I loved the script, I loved the type of humor in it, and then the project just got bigger and bigger from there... by the time we filmed it I knew that we were all about to be part of something epic! Range 15 basically addresses how a bunch of badass vets would handle the end of the world!

You also have to talk about Range 15's brand of comedy for a bit, and to what extent does it correspond with your personal sense of humour?

A lot of people have asked me if I was ever offended or grossed out by the content or the guys' humor, but truth is... I think I actually grossed them out more than once... and I'm actually kind of proud of that.

What can you tell us about your director Ross Patterson [Ross Patterson interview - click here], and what was your collaboration like?

Ross is amazing! It's always fun to work with a director that's also a great actor. He sees your point of view and he can throw you improv right there on the spot to make a scene better or funnier. I actually think Ross's character might be the best one in the whole movie!

Range 15 stars fan favourite William Shatner - so what was working with him like?

I am a Trekkie, so although Shatner wasn't in my scene, I was poking around the corner nerding out the whole time. In the business, you get to meet and work with all kinds of celebrities... but it's getting to meet the ones you grew up with that make you feel like, "Wow! This is cool! Just... wow!"

What can you tell us about the shoot as such, and the on-set atmosphere?

Everyone wanted to be there, everyone was so excited to make it happen! It didn't matter whether it was day one or 14, there was always a buzz on set about what scenes were getting shot that day. Most people don't understand that acting can be grueling work, which is how you end up with divas in the business. But these guys are vets, they've been through way, way worse than not having cold enough A/C in their trailer or green M&M's... I wish more sets were like that actually.

Even besides Range 15 you haven't been exactly idle of late - so any other current and future projects you'd like to share?

I have a some other great lead roles coming out too like Check Point. It's another pro-military movie that's kind of like a modern day Red Dawn but instead of Russians we're dealing with domestic terrorism. I play opposite Bill Goldberg through most of the movie and he's amazing! You Can't Have It is an another interesting flick. You almost think it's just about a group of friends, but much like life... it gets complicated and dark real quick.

I'm also lucky to have smaller roles in several things this summer, Sharknado 4: May the 4th be with You is coming out on SyFy... I've been wanting to do a shark movie for forever, so yea I've always been on that bandwagon! I did The Doll starring the real life Ukrainian Barbie... and she does look exactly like Barbie, people have said I do but no, she literally looks just like her pics it's amazing! She's actually very nice too! There's I'm Gonna Miss You where I play John Schneider's wife, The Bet where I play Jake the Snake's wife, Hallucinogen, The American Gandhi, Bleach, Bloodsucka Jones 2, and more! Not to mention the film festival circuit films like Non-Stop to Comic Con and The Green Fairy which have played everywhere from Monsterpalooza to Cannes.

As for upcoming stuff... I'd like to finally start producing my own comedy script that I wrote a while back, it stars me and fellow Range 15 alum Jessie Wiseman. Meanwhile, there's still a lot of my stuff out if anyone wants to check it out on Netflix/Amazon/Hulu etc, like Evil Bong: High-5, Going to America, A Blood Story, Coed and the Zombie Stoner, Samurai Cop 2 and tons more...
