Your upcoming short Extinction - in a few words, what is it about?

This is a short military style zombie apocalypse film about a group of survivalists.

How did the project fall together in the first place?

We have production meetings every week and a lot of projects on the table and this was one that we wanted to do and already at that time had a great script in place.

A few words about Extinction's screenwriter Jeremy Hill, and what was your collaboration like?

Jeremy is a great screenwriter and friend. We loved having him work on Extinction as he has worked on other projects for us in the past.

With Extinction being part of the anthology Zombie Wars - what can you tell us about the anthology as such, and were there any guidelines from its masterminds regarding look and feel or the like?

Zombie Wars is currently under wraps so can’t say anything yet but keep your eyes peeled to our website as something will be announced this year J

Like quite a few of your film's, Extinction is a zombie movie - so what can you tell us about your version of the living dead in specifically this movie?

We decided to go with more classic version of zombies for this film so more George Romero J in terms of slow approaching.

As it's a zombie flick, I suppose there's quite a bit of blood and guts in Extinction - so do talk about the gory bits in your movie for a bit?

We do have some blood and guts in the film and we had a lot of professional makeup artists on set who did an outstanding job. So you will have to wait and see what they did J

What can you tell us about your directorial approach to your story at hand?

As you know the director’s principal job is managing the creative process on set and that is what I do. I also had two AD’s to assist me and make sure we kept on track in a timely manner, as well as a great cast & crew to make sure everything runs smoothly as this was only one day of filming.

Do talk about Extinction's key cast, and why exactly these people?

Megan Lockhurst plays one of the lead roles as the military controller in this zombie apocalyptic film and her performance is amazing. For a short film we have a cast and crew of over 100 people on set, so some great performances by all.

A few words about the shoot as such, and the on-set atmosphere?

We also try to maintain a family type atmosphere on set as well as getting the work done, and this film was no different in that regard.

Any idea when and where Extinction will be released onto the general public?

Extinction is out on the festival circuit now for the next year and I am sure the feature film Zombie Wars will be available for the public in 2018 so keep your eyes out for that.

Any future projects you'd like to share?

Silent Studios Productions has just finished their first feature film Torture which is now in post-production, so expect a trailer early 2018. In addition we are now in pre-production of a zombie comedy and have some more films in wraps up our sleeves, so keep your eyes on our website.
